A man was thrashed to deathallegedly by his friends during a feast at Patrapali village under theLaikera police limits in Jharsuguda district late on Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as BipinBhoi (25).
As per reports, Bipin and his friends had arranged a feast in the locality, during which a quarrel ensued between them.
It took a violent turn as his friends thrashed him with a stick, killing him on the spot.
Police later recovered the body for postmortem and detained six persons for questioning as a part of the investigation.
