Madhya Pradesh on alert: Abrupt weather conditions predicted for next four days

Abrupt weather with hail, rain and fog would be witnessed in the state for the next four days. At the same time, there will be chilly  cold winds at night.

Clouds cover were witnessed in many districts on Tuesday for the second consecutive day. The drizzle was observed in many areas of Bhind and Sehore since night continued this morning as well.

Earlier on Monday also the weather remained changed. Clouds remained in many districts including Bhopal. Due to this, an increase in the day temperature has also been recorded.

The Meteorological Department has predicted the system to be the strongest on December 27. On this day, there is an alert of hail and rain in 21 districts including Bhopal, Gwalior. At the same time, light rain, thunder and lightning will remain in other districts.

Senior scientist said, the pattern of the weather will remain changed due to the effect of Western Disturbance in the state. There will also be activity of a low pressure area over Rajasthan. Due to which hail may fall along with rain.

Among the major cities Indore recorded the highest night temperature of 14.6 degrees, Ujjain 13.5 degrees, Jabalpur 10.4 degrees, Bhopal 10.2 degrees and Gwalior recorded 9.3 degrees.

This time the cold broke records in December as cold waves continued for 9 days and night temperature broke the record of 58 years in the state capital.

To provide relief to students school timings were changed in many districts including Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, while heaters were installed in Bhopal's Van Vihar National Park to protect animals from cold. Efforts are being made to protect even God from cold.
