The lack of interest of the voters in the first and second phase of Lok Sabha election voting in Madhya Pradesh has increased the concern of the politicians as well as the officers and the Election Commission. In view of this, it has been decided by the Election Commission to run a campaign towards 'Chale Booth' to take the voters to the polling booth in the remaining 2 phases of voting. This campaign will be run in the districts on May 1st and 7th next month, for which instructions have been issued to the collectors.
The Chief Electoral Officer has told the collectors that the third and fourth phase of voting in the state is on May 7 and May 13.
To motivate more and more people to vote in the voting process, 'Chale Booth' (Let's go to the booth) campaign should be run at every polling station.
Rajan said that for the third phase this campaign should be launched on May 1 and for the fourth phase on May 7. Under the campaign, intensive sweeps will be conducted at every polling station through Booth Awareness Group (BAG) members, Campus Ambassadors, Resident Welfare Committees (RWAs), Electoral Literacy Clubs (ELCs), Non Government Organizations (NGOs), Election Pathshala and local people. Take action to motivate people to exercise their franchise by organizing activities. Instructions have been given to provide photographs and videos of these activities.
Programs will be held at 20456 polling centers for the third phase.
In the third phase, voting is to be held in 9 Lok Sabha constituencies of the state. This campaign will be run at 20 thousand 456 polling stations under this. This includes Betul, Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Guna, Sagar, Vidisha, Bhopal and Rajgarh Lok Sabha constituencies.
In the fourth phase, this campaign will be run at 18 thousand 7 polling stations in 8 Lok Sabha constituencies of the state. This includes Dewas, Ujjain, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Dhar, Indore, Khargone, Khandwa Lok Sabha constituencies.
