The ujjain police on Sunday took action against the increasing noise pollution due to the vehicles.
The police destroyed more than 100 silencers with a bulldozer. This step has been taken against those youths who create a ruckus in the city by installing modified silencers in their vehicles.
For the last few days, the police had taken action against such vehicles in the city, which had silencers installed illegally. During this, more than 100 silencers were seized, whose total value is estimated to be from Rs 20,000 to Rs 2.5 lakh.
Under Sunday's action, these silencers were destroyed by being run over by a bulldozer at Tower Chowk.
The aim of this action is not only to control pollution but also to ensure peace and security in the city. The police have warned the youth to avoid using loud silencers in their vehicles, otherwise strict action will be taken against them.
This is the first such action in Ujjain, which gives a strong message against pollution and disorder. Through this initiative, the police administration has tried to assure the city residents that they give priority to their safety and health.
