Under the joint aegis of National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority, Ranchi and National Commission for Women, a legal awareness program was organized in the conference hall of Block Office, Garhwa on Monday under the guidance of Principal District and Sessions Judge - Co-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Garhwa Nalin Kumar.
The awareness program organized on the topic "Vidhan se Samadhan" was inaugurated by lighting the lamp jointly by Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Ravi Chaudhary, Deputy Chief LADCS Anita Ranjan, Panel Advocate Shiv Kumar, City Manager of Nagar Parishad.
The program started with a film made by the National Commission for Women related to women harassment that was shown to the women through a video projector. On this occasion, the Secretary explained in detail about the crimes related to women. Especially the provisions related to human trafficking, dowry act, witch-hunting etc. were given and case studies related to women harassment by the National Commission for Women were also discussed.
In the programme, other faculty members Anita Ranjan and Advocate Shiv Kumar also tried to make the women present aware through their speeches and said that if all women work together and support each other, then women can be saved from harassment.
On this occasion, block employees, PLV Murali Shyam Tiwari, Manoj Kumar Dubey, and court employees were present.
