In a significant move aimed at addressing the grievances of the public, Jamshedpur Police organised a "Public Grievance Resolution Program" at the Michael John Auditorium. The event was held under the instructions of the Director General and Inspector General of Police, Jharkhand, to facilitate a direct platform for citizens to voice their complaints and seek prompt resolutions.

The program was formally inaugurated by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP)  Kishore Kaushal and Superintendent of Police (City)  Rishabh Garg. In a symbolic ceremony, the dignitaries lit the ceremonial lamp, marking the commencement of the event aimed at fostering better communication between the public and the police. Several senior officials from the district police force were present, alongside a large gathering of local residents.

During the program, the police received a total of 135 applications from individuals representing various police stations across the district. The complaints spanned a wide range of issues, including land disputes, cyber crimes, family conflicts, fraud cases, traffic-related concerns, missing mobile phones, and motorcycle thefts. Each of these issues, according to the police, will be scrutinized and addressed promptly, with dedicated personnel assigned to investigate and resolve the cases in a timely manner.

Kaushal, while addressing the gathering, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in bridging the gap between the public and law enforcement. He stated, "This program has been organized with the intent of resolving public grievances swiftly, ensuring transparency, and fostering trust between the police and the community. We are committed to serving the people, and this initiative is a step toward making the system more accessible to everyone."

Garg reiterated the need for community engagement in improving law and order. He said, "The grievances that the public faces, whether related to cyber crimes or family disputes, often need immediate attention. Through this platform, we aim to ensure that each complaint is dealt with fairly and efficiently. Today's applications will be handled with utmost care, and the public can expect timely updates on the progress of their cases."

A diverse range of issues was raised by attendees. Land disputes and family conflicts were among the most common concerns, reflecting the complex social dynamics of the region. Additionally, with the rise of cyber crimes, a considerable number of complaints involve online fraud, hacking incidents, and identity theft. The Jharkhand Police assured the public that specialized cyber crime units would look into these cases.

Traffic-related complaints were also prevalent, with citizens highlighting issues such as erratic driving, insufficient traffic regulation, and the growing number of accidents. SSP  Kaushal informed the gathering that measures are being taken to improve traffic management in the district, including stricter enforcement of traffic laws and improved infrastructure to manage congestion.

Motorcycle thefts and mobile phone thefts were frequently reported, highlighting the need for enhanced surveillance and vigilance. The police promised to intensify patrols in theft-prone areas and encourage citizens to report such incidents immediately for quicker resolution.

In addition to resolving complaints, the event also aimed at raising public awareness on various issues, such as cyber security and traffic safety. Informative pamphlets were distributed, and presentations were made to educate citizens on how to safeguard themselves from cyber crimes and avoid traffic violations.
