State BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdev, while addressing a press conference in Ranchi on Wednesday, made a big attack on the 'Ek vote saat gaarantee’ jointly issued by Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal and CPI (ML).
Shahdev said that the people of the country have faith in Modi's guarantee and not in the ruling coalition's promises of seven lies in exchange for one vote. Referring to JMM’s 2019 manifesto, Shahdeo said that a total of 114 promises were made but in not a single one is fulfilled.
Pratul said the government had said that within 2 years of its formation, all vacant government posts in the State will be filled but according to government data, 2,87,000 posts are still vacant. Announcements to make de-addiction centres in every block, making merit list by giving 10 per cent extra marks to candidates from rural areas for jobs, 25 lakh jobs in 5 years, Rs 5000 and Rs 7000 per month as allowance to the unemployed- all have proved to be false.
Pratul further said that promises to make land rights law, employment rights law, laws for direct appointment of one member of every martyr's family in government jobs, pension scheme for the families of the martyrs of Jharkhand movement- not one of them was implemented.
Shahdev said that JMM had talked about regularising all Anganwadi workers, assistants and cooks and free education for girls from primary to PhD, women's college in every subdivision, Rs 2000 per month for cooking expenses to women of every poor family, establishment of one women police station for a population of every three lakh- all were in vain.
Pratul also said there were talks of giving a three room house and pension amount of Rs 2500 per month- till date no one has received anything. JMM had also spoken about setting up Kisan Bank, MSP of Rs. 2700, subsidy on diesel and electricity consumption for irrigation, free electricity connection for irrigation through boring, opening of model farmer schools in every block, grant of Rs 15000 for self-employment to farmers and labourers apart from agricultural work.
Pratul said that promises to strictly implement the PESA law were made. Promises for implementing the tribal traditional self- governance system, development policy of tourism not mining, simplifying the process of granting forest lease, pledge not to divert the amount of Tribal Sub Plan to any other scheme were also made.
Shahdev said that in the manifesto, announcements in education and health were made but even today 96% middle schools do not have permanent principals and 68% of the total teacher posts in primary, middle and high schools are vacant. There are no promises for 65,000 para teachers whereas BJP has promised to regularise para teachers. Under the Guruji Credit Card scheme, only 42 students have benefited so far while 40,000 had applied.
Pratul said that the people were deceived by false promises in 2019 will show the way out in 2024. On November 23, the sunset of the most corrupt government in the history of Jharkhand will come.
