National Conference on Technological Breakthrough and Libraries at Chd from today
Chandigarh: CSIR-IMTECH, in collaboration with the Association of Senior Library and Information Professionals (ASLIP), is organizing a two-day National Conference on ‘Technological Breakthrough and Libraries: Present and Beyond’ on November 7-8, 2024. The conference will explore the role of technology in shaping the future of libraries and information management. The inaugural ceremony, scheduled for 10 am on Thursday, will be graced by Amity University, Mohali, Vice-Chancellor Prof RK Kohli.
‘Run For Inclusion’ to kickstart special Olympics Asia Pacific competitions
Chandigarh: Special Olympics Bharat (SOB) will host a ‘Run For Inclusion’ on November 9 (Saturday) to kick off the Special Olympics Asia Pacific Bocce and Bowling Competition. The three-km run, set to take place at Nehru Park in New Delhi’s Chanakyapuri, aims to promote inclusivity through sports and is expected to attract 10,000 participants. Over 1,000 special athletes from 100 schools and colleges will join the run, supporting athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Union Minister of State for Corporate Affairs and Road Transport & and Highways Harsh Malhotra will attend as Chief Guest. The competition, from November 18-23 marks the first-ever Special Olympics Bocce and Bowling event in India, featuring athletes aged 22 and above.
