14 drug deaths in 14 days: Jakhar dares CM to wake up from deep slumber

Chandigarh: Expressing shock and anguish over 14 deaths reported in Punjab in last 14 days due to drug abuse, Punjab BJP president Sunil Jakhar on Sunday urged the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to wake up from deep sleep and act tough to save Punjab’s youth from this menace proliferating right under the nose of his government. These tragic deaths have shaken the people of Punjab and a Chief Minister, who every other day sells fake dreams of making a 'Rangla Punjab', must be forced to understand his duty towards his ‘Chair’ and the state, said Jakhar, adding that Punjab today needs an effective and urgent crackdown against those directly responsible for this heinous crime of killing our youngsters.

BJP conspires to defame Punjab with Jakhar always riding an anti-Punjab train: Kang

Chandigarh: Launching a scathing attack on Punjab BJP chief Sunil Jakhar for never questioning the BJP leaders for their anti-Punjab actions but instead boarding their train to defame Punjab, AAP’s newly-elected MP from Sri Anandpur Sahib and state’s chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang on Sunday reminded him that illegal drugs reach Punjab from Maharashtra and Gujarat where there are BJP governments in both of the states. Kang said that it is the failure of the BJP Governments as well as patronizing of the drug lords by the BJP that so much illegal drug is reaching India.

Take BJP Govt’s failure in 10 years to every family: Hooda asks party workers

Karnal: Hitting out at BJP, Haryana’s former Chief Minister and the Leader of Opposition in Vidhan Sabha Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday said that about 10-year tenure of the BJP-led Government will be known only and only for its failures. BJP led State Government has proved to be a failure on every front, which included unemployment, giving fair crop prices to farmers among others, he said, addressing the party leaders and workers in a programme in Karnal. Applauding the party workers and leaders during the recent Lok Sabha elections, Hooda said that the state’s election results have been good in this election. He asked the workers to implement a two-point action plan for upcoming assembly elections. “First, the failures of BJP government in 10 years, false promises, false work, corruption have to be taken to every family, and the question has to be asked that what did this government do in 10 years,” he said, adding that then we should take the work of previous Congress government in 10 years to every house and what will be done in future has to be told.
