Hry Minister lays foundation stone of development projects
Chandigarh: Haryana School Education Minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar on Sunday inaugurated the development projects at Guru Ravidas Temple in Manakpur, costing Rs 5.50 lakhs. On the occasion, he also announced a grant of Rs 5.50 lakhs for the remaining development projects at the temple. “The State Government is emphasizing on promoting education, health, security, self-reliance and self-respect amongst the people of the State with the vision to ensure good governance,” he added.
Haryana Minister orders suspension of AE
Chandigarh: Taking a strict cognizance against corrupt practices, Haryana Urban Local Bodies Minister Dr Kamal Gupta has terminated the services of personal assistant in his staff for receiving a food item as a gift from the Assistant Engineer, Municipal Corporation, Gurugram. Besides, taking strict action against the Assistant Engineer, the Minister ordered his immediate suspension.
Four youths crushed to death in Sonepat
Panipat: As many as four persons were crushed to death after a speeding car hit them near Mama-Bhanja Chowk in Sonepat on Saturday night. The police said that four persons, including three occupants of the car and a Nepalese youth, sustained injuries in the mishap. The deceased have been identified as Amar, Dal Bahadur, Arjun and Kamal of Nepal, while the injured have been identified as Dil Bahadur of Nepal, Ritik of Jatwara, Arun and Mohit of Jainpur in Sonepat. As per the available information, all five Nepalese youths were living in Sonepat on a rented accommodation and working as waiters. They were on their way to their room on cycles and a scooty when the accident took place around 12 am.

CM expresses grief over demise of senior journalist
Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday expressed sorrow over the demise of senior journalist Gyanendra Bharataria (Delhi). The Chief Minister said that his untimely departure is a great loss for society and the family. He extended condolences to the bereaved family and also prayed for the peace of departed soul. Senior Journalist, who has been serving in the print and electronic media world for more than three decades, passed away at the age of 57 in a private hospital in New Delhi.
