UT Administrator inspects Govt Medical College Hospitals in Chandigarh
Chandigarh: Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria on Monday conducted surprise inspections at the Government Medical College Hospitals in Sector 32 and Sector 48. He inspected various wards and interacted with the doctors present to review the healthcare services being provided at both the hospitals. Highlighting the need to enhance emergency care at Sector 32 Hospital, the Administrator stated that a new 280 bedded emergency wing is being added to address the high patient load. The new emergency building, which was initially targeted for completion by December 31, has faced delays but is now expected to be ready by March 31. Kataria instructed the engineering wing officials to ensure that emergency services in the new facility commence by April without fail. At Sector 48 Hospital, he emphasized the importance of enhancing healthcare delivery and directed the Health Department to prepare a detailed report on increasing the number of doctors, staff, and medical equipment. While the hospital has a capacity of 150 beds, the Administrator stressed the need to fully utilize this capacity to serve the city's residents effectively.
Himachal CM releases government calendar for year 2025
Shimla: Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Monday released the government calendar for the year 2025 which has the pictures of various innovative schemes of the State Government. The calendar has been brought out by the state's Printing and Stationery Department. Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi, Education Minister Rohit Thakur, Chief Minister's Principal Advisor (Media) Naresh Chauhan, Printing and Stationery Secretary Priyanka Basu Ingty, Controller, Printing and Stationery Department, Prabha Rajiv, Director, Information and Public Relations, Rajiv Kumar and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
