Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya in collaboration with Dehli Meditech Chivar Hospital (DMCH), successfully conducted a two-day “Save Life Initiative” that combined life-saving CPR training. The initiative, facilitated by the CSR Committee of IIM Bodh Gaya, Pragati, began on 23rd November 2024 at Bapunagar Village, where over 55 patients from the rural community received comprehensive healthcare services, including vital checks such as weight, height, and blood pressure monitoring, along with doctor consultations and free medicine distribution.
The highlight of the day was a live demonstration of CPR techniques conducted by a skilled team from DMCH, comprising the hospital’s Director, Dr. Krishna Prasad Vishwakarma, a senior doctor, Dr. Kushagra Vishwakarma, and three nursing staff members. Villagers were taught essential life-saving skills to respond effectively in emergencies. The programme aligned with the vision of Dr. Vinita Sahay, Director of IIM Bodh Gaya, to establish the institute as a center for growth and social development through meaningful initiatives. It was conducted under the guidance of Pragati Chairpersons, Prof. Suresh KG and Prof. Johnson Abhishek Minz.
The programme continued on 24th November 2024 at the IIM Bodh Gaya campus. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff, who actively engaged in hands- on CPR training under the guidance of the DMCH team. Practical demonstrations and expert guidance empowered attendees to manage medical emergencies with confidence.
The event underscored IIM Bodh Gaya’s commitment to holistic development and social responsibility. Pragati, the institute’s CSR Committee, expressed its gratitude to DMCH for their unwavering support and expertise in making the two-day initiative a success.
