The city police have nabbed three accused and recovered Rs 33.60 lakh cash, gold coins, mobile phone total worth about Rs 35.00 lakh and the knife and motorcycle used in the incident were also recovered.
In the incident on December 3 at around 7.30 pm, three unknown persons entered the house of the complainant Kirti Dhanwani, Arera Colony, Bhopal and attacked the complainant with a knife and stole cash, gold jewelery.
During the incident, the victim raised the alarm one suspect, Devanand, was caught by the security guard of the house opposite to the complainant's house and the remaining two accused fled from the spot. On the report of the incident, FIR was registered against suspect Devanand and two unknown accused.
Separate police teams of station incharge Habibganj, station incharge Shahpura, police station incharge Ratibad, police station incharge Ashoka Garden and other police stations were formed and tracked the absconding accused and recovered the looted valuables.
The suspect Devanand confessed that he knew that the complainant owned a jewelers' shop, due to which he suspected that a large amount of cash and gold jewelery was kept in the complainant's house and sent his brother-in-law Babu Singh and his cousin Dheeraj to the complainant's house and planned the robbery.
The nabbed accused were accused Devanand Jadhav alias Deva, Babulal Mewada alias Babu Singh and Dheeraj Gavai.
