The district administration has called for a united effort with Durga Puja Committees to ensure a successful and harmonious celebration this year. This call to collaboration was made during the general meeting of the Jamshedpur Durga Puja Central Committee, held at Sidhgora Town Hall.

The meeting, presided over by Achintam Das Gupta, President of the Jamshedpur Durga Puja Central Committee, brought together representatives from 310 Durga Puja committees across the city. Gupta emphasized the importance of cooperation among committees and with the district administration to address any potential issues before the festivities begin.

Ananya Mittal, DC, highlighted the need for early identification and resolution of challenges to ensure a joyful and trouble-free celebration. "We have ample time to address any issues and ensure that the Durga Puja is celebrated with joy and harmony," Mittal stated. "Attention to even the smallest details will help us avoid problems during the Puja."

In addition to organizing a smooth celebration, Gupta announced a social welfare initiative: each Durga Puja committee will distribute clothes and grains to five underprivileged families in their respective areas. "We will ensure a successful Durga Puja festival through mutual cooperation among all committees and by maintaining coordination with the district administration," Gupta said.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishore Kaushal assured the committees of the police department's support. Kaushal stressed the importance of coordination between the police and the committees to ensure safety and smooth operations. Measures include placing committee members in CCTV control rooms at major pandals, restricting shop setups on roads to prevent traffic jams, and having banners with police and committee contact numbers in key areas. He also emphasized thorough checks on vehicles used for idol immersion and readiness with backup generators for power outages.

In an environmentally friendly initiative, Vice President Niraj Singh announced that each Durga Puja committee would receive 10 plants to promote sustainability alongside the festivities. Singh's efforts to integrate environmental consciousness with the celebration were warmly received by the Jamshedpur Durga Puja Central Committee.

The collaborative approach between the district administration, police, and Durga Puja committees is expected to enhance the quality and safety of this year’s Durga Puja celebrations in Jamshedpur, ensuring a festive and environmentally conscious atmosphere.
