arhwa SDO conducted an undercover inspection at a Government Sadar Hospital, Garhwa, posing as a patient’s attendant. The SDO, Sanjay Kumar, took this action after instructions of Garhwa Deputy Commissioner Shekhar Jamuar receiving complaints about patient inconveniences.
“Following DC's instructions, I conducted a surprise inspection of the hospital and found several defects. I sought an appointment and spoke with the doctor that my wife has a stomach ache. The doctor’s behaviour was not appropriate,” he stated.
Regarding inspection he submitted a detail report to the DC.
According to sources, the SDO mentioned in his report that drivers of the ambulances parked at the hospital were drunk and were gambling. He mentioned that a syndicate was active to run the ambulances with astronomical charges.
At the Jan Aushadhi medicine store inside the hospital it was found that generic medicines were not available. It was also found that none of the doctors present in the roster of attendance after 9:00 pm (which was written on the wall) was present.
The blood bank was closed and Mamta Vahan was also not available. He also mentioned in his report that one good thing was also seen that the proper lighting system and cleanliness in the hospital was of excellent level.
The DC said that needful action would be taken against guilty people.
