The final rehearsal of the parade to be held on Republic Day was held on Wednesday in the stadium grounds of BS College. On this occasion, the parade was jointly inspected by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Waghmare Prasad Krishna and Superintendent of Police Harish Bin Zaman. Hindu School of Excellence, NCC Ursuline Girls High School, Kasturba Girls Excellence High School, Sant Stanalis High School participated in the parade.
This year, local MLA cum Finance Minister Dr. Rameshwar Oraon will participate as the chief guest in the main program to be held at the stadium located at BS College on Republic Day. The chief guest will hoist the flag at the main event venue at the stadium located at BS College at 9.15 am.
Programs to be held on 26th January: Flag hoisting will be done by the Deputy Commissioner at the Deputy Commissioner's residence complex at 7.30 am. After this, the district officials will garland the statues of great men installed in the district from 8 am to 8.45 am.
In the main function to be held at BS College Stadium, the flag will be hoisted by Minister Dr. Rameshwar Oraon as the chief guest at BS College Stadium at 9.15 am. The chief guest will arrive at the stadium at 9 am. After this he will inspect the parade. After this there will be flag hoisting, national anthem and minister's address. Before the Minister's address, tableaux will be presented by various departments, which include tableaux of Health, District Social Welfare, District Agriculture Office, District Transport Office, Drinking Water and Sanitation Office, Education Department Office and other departments. After the minister's address, prizes will also be distributed.
Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police and district level officials installed the statue of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar near the Deputy Commissioner's office, the statue of Lord Birsa Munda near the Collectorate complex and Shankh River, the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Gudri Bazaar, the statue of Ajay Kumar Singh at Ajay Udyan, Wreaths will be laid on the statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose located at Powerganj Chowk, the statue of Dr. Rajendra Prasad located at Somwar Bazaar and the statue of Veer Budhu Bhagat located at Maina Garden. All the above wreath laying programs will be conducted between 8 am to 8.45 am.
A cultural program will be organized at Nagar Bhavan from 6.00 pm on 25th. In this, cultural programs on patriotism will be presented by students of different schools.
