After a fight with wife a 42-year-old man committed suicide by hanging with ceiling at Gautam Nagar on Wednesday.
The deceased, identified as Yogendra Pal, had a fight with his wife. He was heavily addicted to alcohol.
The deceased used to sell the utensils and goods of the house due to his addiction to alcohol. When the wife returned after celebrating Raksha Bandhan and talked to her husband about the TV and utensils missing, a dispute broke out between the two.
About 30 minutes after the quarrel with his wife, he hanged himself to death. On receiving information about the incident, Gautam Nagar police registered a case.
Gautam Nagar police said that Yogendra used to drink a lot of alcohol. Yogendra's wife returned home on Wednesday from her maternal home after celebrating Janmashtami after Raksha Bandhan.
The woman found the TV in the house and utensils in the kitchen missing. On this, the woman asked her husband Yogendra Pal about the essential items missing in the house. But, Yogendra did not give any answer to his wife. After this, a fight broke out between the two.
To avoid the growing dispute with her husband, the wife went to the neighbor's house after his wife went out of the house, Yogendra Pal committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling.
Uncle Manohar Lal Sisodia said that when Yogendra's wife returned to her house from the neighbor's house after the dispute, she found Yogendra hanging from the noose. Immediately the daughter-in-law informed the family about the incident and took Yogendra to Hamidia Hospital for treatment. Here the doctors declared him dead.
