City residents will now have to shell out a little extra to visit the scenic Van Vihar National Park, with the forest department revising the ticket tariff for the sanctuary on Wednesday.
The new prices, which come into effect on November 7, will require pedestrians to pay Rs 25 per person, while cyclists will have to pay Rs 30.
The tariff for all vehicles, including two-wheelers, cars, buses, and golf carts, has also been hiked, although the sanctuary is offering a 25 per cent discount on all battery-operated and electric vehicles visiting the park.
The entry tariff will now increase by 10 per cent every three years, and foreigners will be required to pay double the amount charged to Indian citizens.Charges for the night safari have also been increased.
