In view of the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has declared a holiday in educational institutions across the state on January 22.
Terming this special occasion a national festival, the chief minister also declared the closure of liquor shops in the state on the same day.
During his Tuesday’s visit to Ayodhya, the chief minister held a crucial meeting with the officials of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. He gathered information about the Vedic rituals of ‘Pran Pratistha’ starting after Makar Sankranti.
The chief minister directed the officials concerned to extend cooperation to the Teerth Kshetra Trust for security and other arrangements for the ceremony. Emphasising enhanced hospitality for dignitaries attending the event, he called for selection of resting places for VVIPs, acknowledging the possibility of early arrivals due to weather conditions.
To accommodate the influx of devotees and visitors, Yogi called for increased availability of hotels, dharamshalas, home stays, and tent cities in Ayodhya. He drew parallels with the grand tent cities established during the Kumbh Mela and proposed a similar setup on 25-50 acres in Ayodhya.
In anticipation of global visitors after January 22, the chief minister also called for the installation of multilingual signages throughout the city, covering languages from the 8th Schedule of the Constitution and the six official languages of the United Nations.
Stressing on the importance of cleanliness, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath urged public cooperation in maintaining cleanliness on major roads and streets, calling for an increase in the workforce for waste management. He called for Ayodhya to be made a polythene-free city, announcing a special cleanliness campaign from January 14.
The chief minister expressed joy and pride in the upcoming ‘Pran Pratishtha’ program, urging every Sanatan believer to participate in Deepotsav by lighting ‘Ramjyoti’ in their homes.
He said all government buildings should be decorated and arrangements be made for fireworks in the evening to add to the festive ambiance.
Additionally, Yogi Adityanath directed for the establishment of 10-bed health centres in each tent city, with cooperation from social and cultural organisations. He emphasised on the need for expanded night shelters in various locations.
Anticipating a significant number of attendees for the consecration ceremony, the chief minister issued directions for a green corridor along routes from Lucknow, Prayagraj, and Gorakhpur to Ayodhya. He called for an enhanced action plan for parking and traffic management, with ample facilities and electric buses for organised transport of visitors. He emphasised the importance of adorning these routes with verses and couplets from Ramayana and Ramcharitmanas, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.
