Dussehra festival concludes with Ravana dahan

Dussehra, the festival of victory of truth over untruth, under the auspices of Central Durga Puja Committee, concluded with the burning of 65 feet Ravana along with idol immersion amid grand fireworks and gaiety. People from all over the district were seen dancing to the tune of traditional drums, drums, mandars and bells in Baksidippa Mela Tand, where a unique confluence of Sarna Sanatan was seen. Dussehra fair was organized by Central Durga Puja Committee in Baksiddipa of the city, where a huge crowd of people gathered to witness the burning of Ravana, Meghnath and Kumbhkaran. All the guests who had come to the Dussehra ground were welcomed by Central President Inderjit Lakra, General Secretary Mithun Tameda wearing Angavastra, after which the lamp was lit by former Rajya Sabha MP Dheeraj Prasad Sahu, Deputy Commissioner Baghmare Krishna Prasad, Superintendent of Police Harish Bin Zaman, Indrajit Lakra, Mithun Tameda. Done by. On the occasion, Dheeraj Prasad Sahu described the ideals of Lord Shri Ram as exemplary for the society and called upon everyone to take inspiration from his life. Deputy Commissioner Baghmare Prasad Krishna said that the people of Kilohardaga celebrated the festival with great love, peace and harmony. There is no lack of discipline among the people of the district who reached the fair. Everyone has participated in the fair with simplicity and happiness. He prayed to Maa Durga and said that there should be happiness and peace in everyone's life. May the future of the youth be bright. Also, the evils in the minds of all of us should be burnt. Spread the light of goodness all around. SP Harish Bin Zaman said that we are the people who burn Ravana. Along with that, let us resolve to destroy Ravana in various forms in our mind, body and soul. He said that goodness always wins. 

 

Before the burning of Ravana, people started chanting Lord Ram amidst colorful fireworks in the sky as sparks burst from the 65 feet swords of Ravana, Meghnath and Kumbhkaran and seeing the fireworks in the sky. The tableau of Ram, Lakshman, and Hanuman form came especially from the Thakur Bari temple at the fair venue. Apart from the deployment of police in large numbers, surveillance was also being done through drone cameras. The vote of thanks was given by General Secretary Mithun Tameda.

 

 

Youth Association Durga Puja Committee BID got first place in pandal decoration.

 

Lohardaga: In pandal decoration, Navyuvak Sangh Durga Puja Samiti BID got first, Maa Ambe Durga Puja Samiti Railway Siding-second, Jai Maa Durga Puja Samiti Thana Toli-third, while in light decoration, Sri Sri Durga Puja Samiti Powerganj-first, Chandrashekhar Azad Club. Tetar level-second position, Durga Puja Committee Maina Bagicha-got third position. Similarly, in rural pandal decoration, Kudu Neeche Bus Stand got first place, Barhi Bazaar Tand got second place. Whereas in rural light decoration, the prize was given to Nav Yuvak Sangh Durga Puja Samiti Bhandra Main Road and Nav Yuvak Sangh Durga Puja Samiti Kisko.
