The construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya has achieved an extraordinary milestone, surpassing Rs 5,000 crore in donations, well beyond the initial target of Rs 900 crore set by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, according to recent reports.

As the grand consecration ceremony approaches, a significant sum of Rs 3,200 crore has already been deposited in the ‘dedication fund’ account.

Expressing gratitude, a spokesperson for the trust stated, “The overwhelming support and generosity of devotees have propelled the construction of the Ram Temple beyond our expectations. It is a testament to the deep-rooted devotion and faith of the people.”

In the lead-up to the consecration ceremony, the trust has witnessed a remarkable surge in daily donations and offerings to Ram Lalla. The trust is currently receiving three to four lakh rupees daily, with monthly donations ranging from Rs 1.5 crore to Rs 2 crore.

The spokesperson added, “The outpouring of contributions demonstrates the global reverence for Ram Lalla and the significance attached to the completion of the temple.”

To efficiently manage the substantial inflow of donations, the Ram Temple Trust has embraced modernity by deploying cash counting machines. This step ensures accuracy and transparency in handling the financial support pouring in from devotees worldwide.

In addition to financial contributions, devotees across the globe are expressing their devotion by sending over 5,000 new clothes for Ram Lalla. Tailored by Bhagwat Prasad in Ayodhya, these garments adhere to a specific colour scheme for each day of the week, symbolising the meticulous devotion to Ram Lalla’s attire.

Bhagwat Prasad, a dedicated tailor, has received requests from across the country and has stitched approximately 1,000 sets of clothes for Ram Lalla. Each set comprises three curtains, one big bed, one small bed, six dupattas and a quilt.

Bhagwat Prasad shared, “It is heartening to witness the widespread participation in this endeavour. Devotees are not just contributing financially but are also ensuring that every aspect, including the attire of Ram Lalla, reflects utmost devotion.”

As Ayodhya prepares for this historic consecration ceremony, the collective efforts of devotees and the modern approach adopted by the trust underscore the significance of this moment in India’s cultural and religious landscape.
