Talking about the south-west winds, it is bringing constant moisture, which is affecting the state.

Due to this, heavy rain has been continuing since late Thursday night, which will continue for the next 2 days. The weather department has also issued an alert for this. The system will move forward on Saturday. It will affect the southern and central parts. Therefore, there is a red and orange alert in many districts. Almost the entire state will be wet. During this time, there is also a possibility of lightning and floods.

There is a situation of waterlogging and floods in Madhya Pradesh due to continuous rains. Due to this, the government has instructed the collectors to remain on high alert mode.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said that there should be no lack of coordination to deal with the challenges of excessive rainfall and floods.

Flood control rooms should work 24 hours in all the districts, and if necessary, the general public should be warned immediately so that no accident occurs anywhere. Chief Minister Yadav has instructed to exercise extra caution on culverts and bridges, so that vehicles and those crossing the culverts do not have to face any unpleasant situation of flow.

In the instructions given to the collectors, it has also been said that in case of waterlogging and accident situation around dams, ponds and other reservoirs, restrictions can also be imposed on the movement of people. Where there is a possibility of an accident due to heavy rains and waterlogging on rivers and culverts, instructions have also been given to install boards there. The government has said that in every situation, the focus of the officers should be on the safety of life and property.

The field staff was also asked to make these arrangements.

The Public Works Department should collect information about such bridges where accidents have happened in the past.

The administration should make security arrangements on such culverts and bridges built on roads.

If water has to be released from dams, alert the affected districts in advance. Divers teams should also be deployed at such places. For this, coordination should also be maintained with the local people.

Vehicles should not be allowed to move on bridges or culverts where water flow is fast.

Make necessary security arrangements on the routes to those religious places and also at those places which are near water sources or rivers. Keep a vigil in view of safety at places where water level may rise during rains.

In case of a flood like situation, select high places in cities and rural areas where flood waters cannot reach and people can be shifted if needed.
