The newly appointed SSP of Dhanbad HP Janardhan issued a tough warning to the police officers within his jutisdiction indulged in illegal activities and patronise ciriminal in office or otherwise to do away or face action .
Janardhan, who had performed in district as SP rural earliear, joined as SSP on January 1 and on Saturday evening ordered suspesion of one police station in charge and also closed two another to police line for their alleged connivence in illegal mining and transporration of coal.
He has also instructed to cjeck illegal miningbof coal, its transportation and storage within their respective jurisdictions .
On same day late at evening a long list of dos and donts was issues by the SSP for police officers right from rank of DSP to a constable warning them of immediate action if found violating in ignoring the warning issued.
Its with mentioning that nuxes between police and coal smugglers is not a new issue in Dhanbad, but in way the national treasure was plundered in last three years was never seen earliear, according to select experts.
Baghmara MLA Dhullu Mahto in a recently held press conferance claimed that coal worth Rs 50,000 crores was plundered during the given period in connivance with ruling party leaders, police and smugglers.
