State working president of Congress Bandhu Tirkey held a press conference at Hotel Ketki in Lohardaga on Saturday and accused the Tribal Security Forum and RSS of conspiring to weaken the tribal society. He said that the delisting rally organized by Tribal Suraksha Manch on December 24 was unconstitutional and sponsored by BJP and RSS. This will be answered by holding a tribal unity mega rally on 4th February.
Tirkey said that the land of tribals is being looted in the entire state. Somewhere the BJP supported organizations have maintained silence on this. Those demanding delisting should also explain why the demography is changing in many areas of the capital Ranchi. Why was there no discussion on this in the rally organized regarding delisting? Claimed that those demanding delisting are mostly people whose ideology is similar to that of land looters. He said that the Tribal Unity Maharally to be held on February 4, 2024 will not be organized under the banner of Congress but under the banner of Jharkhand Jan Adhikar Manch.
He said that we and all the tribal communities consider the delisting rally organized under the banner of Tribal Suraksha Manch in Morabadi on December 24 as unconstitutional. In this Maharally, not a single word was spoken in the delisting rally on issues like public issue of tribals, Sarna Dharma Code, backlog of more than three lakh tribal reserved posts, land related issues of tribal society, Fifth Schedule, Forest Rights etc. There was talk of poisoning the tribal society by demanding that only the Sanatani Adivasis, the tribals who converted to religion, converted to Christianity or Muslim be excluded from the tribal list to deprive them of the benefits of reservation, which is opposed by the entire tribal society. Said that while the delisting rally of 24th December 2023 was meant to weaken the tribal society, there was neither talk of Sarna religion nor of the rights and entitlements of the tribals in that rally. Only at the behest of BJP and RSS, an attempt was made to weaken the society through Tribal Security Forum. Bandhu Tirkey said that the Maharally on 4th February will be about the public issues of the tribal society. State Delegate Nesar Ahmed, Youth Congress Working President Ghulam Jilani, District Twenty Point Member Sangeeta Oraon, Kudu Block Vice President Munim Ansari, Senha's former Block President Jamil Ansari, Youth District Secretary Suhail Akhtar etc. were present in the press conference.
