In a significant achievement, the Under-17 girls' team from DAV Gandhinagar has been selected for the national-level competitions. The DAV Sports State Level events are being organized on various dates, featuring three-day competitions across different sports disciplines. DAV Sector-4 has been fully prepared and equipped to host 37 teams and around 1300 players for football, handball, lawn tennis, and gymnastics events.
The Chief Guest, B.S. Jaiswal (Vice Chairman, LMC), addressed the gathering, commending the enthusiasm and discipline of the students from various schools across Jharkhand, emphasizing their importance for healthy competition.
The Principal of DAV Sector-4, S.S. Kar extended his gratitude to the principals, guide teachers, parents, and media persons from different schools, including DAV Dugdha, DAV Dhorhi, and DAV Sector-6, who attended the inaugural event to encourage the participants.
M.K. Sinha, ARO-cum-State Coordinator, highlighted that the inclusion of three age groups—Under-14, Under-17, and Under-18—aims to ensure maximum student participation. He emphasized that sports and games are now a progressive pathway for career development.
The overall organization and successful execution of the event were led by L.K. Sinha, with key roles played by sports teachers Mr. S.K. Mishra, Sukanti, Harendra, Rangesh, Ratnesh, and Sushil. The entire staff, office personnel, and other colleagues contributed significantly to making the event a success.
