Creativity Conclave concludes at SBPS, Ranchi

Sarala Birla Public School, Ranchi hosted the Culmination of the Creativity conclave of Ranchi Sahodaya School Complex (RSSC) in its premises with great fervour. The event was a culmination of the month-long series of competitions like Sandarbh- a journey through songs and words, Hasty Tasty- a fireless cooking competition, Torque- Inter school dance dialogues, Inter-school patriotic song and folk dance competitions, etc. organized by the schools of Ranchi under the aegis of RSSC and in which more than 2000 students participated. The entire month was dedicated to mark the incorporation of NEP 2020 with emphasis on art-integration in all walks of academics.

The day commenced with the welcoming of the guests with a graceful Odissi performance. This was followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp to mark the inception of the event. The culmination ceremony included two competitions- Inter School TORQUE- Integrated Dance Dialogues and ‘Khelen Khilkhilayein’ - a toy making competition to experience the concept of learning by doing and joyful learning. Participants from several schools participated with enthusiastic spirit. They were judged by a jury comprising experts from the fields of art and education. 

The jury included Vipul Nayak, Guest Faculty, Ranchi University, Deepak Kumar from Pazeb, Ranchi, Dr. Mukesh Kumar Singh, Assistant Professor, Commerce and Business Management, Sarala Birla University Ranchi, and Dr. Atul Kumar Karn, Assistant Professor, Sarala Birla University Ranchi.

The day ended with the vote of thanks and prize distribution ceremony. For the event Torque, DAV Public School, Hehal secured the first position followed by Surendranath Centenary School securing the first runner up position and Firayalal Public School, the second runner up position. For the event ‘Khelen Khilkhilayein’, Vivekananda Vidyamandir was declared as the winning team. Firayalal Public School secured the first runner up position and DAV Public School, Bariatu secured the second runner up position.

Principal, Paramjit Kaur, who is also the President of RSSC, expressed her gratitude to all the schools for their active participation without which this series of events would not have been possible. She also added that in this month of August, we celebrate many festivals like Janmashtami, Raksha Bandhan, Friendship and Independence Day. Taking forward this immersive zeal of the august moments, the competitions organised by Ranchi Sahodaya School Complex have reached the successful culmination today. She reinforced that with the implementation of NEP 2020, art-integration will be pivotal and inclusion will be integral. It is also based on Gandhiji’s ‘Nayi Taleem’ which emphasises on skill education and learning by doing which are the need of the hour.
