Chief Minister Hemant Soren is scheduled to participate in the ‘Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Mainiyaan Samman Yojana’ programme on August 28 at the Football Ground in Rapcha, located in the Gamharia block of Seraikela Kharsawan district. During the ceremony, acceptance letters will be distributed to the program's beneficiaries.
In preparation for the event, senior district officials conducted a thorough inspection of the venue. District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla, along with Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar Lunayat and their colleagues from East Singhbhum and West Singhbhum, visited the site to confirm that all necessary arrangements were completed. The review focused on security protocols, seating arrangements, water supply, sanitation, medical support, and traffic control.
The Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance of careful planning to manage the large crowd expected from the three districts. Specific instructions were provided for managing traffic, parking, and security to ensure the event runs smoothly and safely. The Superintendent of Police assured that comprehensive security measures would be in place, and that the movement of attendees would be well-organized.
Moreover, the event will include the distribution of the first installment of benefits under the ‘Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Mainiyaan Samman Yojana’ to recipients from all three districts.
Notably, CM is scheduled to take part in a similar programme in Dumka on August 27.
The Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Mainiyaan Samman Yojana (JMMSY) is a welfare scheme initiated by the government of Jharkhand for women in the age group of 21 to 49. It is designed to provide financial assistance and support to women and girls for economic independence in the State.
Under the scheme Rs 1000 will be given to the women of the age group 21-49 for improving their livelihoods and ensuring their social and economic empowerment.
