CM called on by officials of FCI

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said that about 100 lakh metric tonnes of wheat is to be procured in the state in the coming months, which will benefit about 11 lakh farmers.

For this, ensure better arrangements for procurement by coordinating with Food Corporation of India, State Civil Supplies Corporation and Markfed. CM Yadav said this during a courtesy visit by Food Corporation of India's Executive Director (West Zone) Daljit Singh and General Manager Vishesh Garhpale at Samatva Bhawan.

Chief Minister Yadav said that to confirm the quality of wheat at the procurement centres, availability of experts, moisture measuring instruments, gunny bags and other necessary equipment along with convenient arrangements for the farmers should be ensured. There was also a discussion on facilitating the process of obtaining delivery of surplus wheat from Madhya Pradesh by the Food Corporation of India and sending it to the states facing deficiency.
