Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar today said that ensure training of all the officials related to the election related to the preparations for the upcoming assembly elections as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India. He said that work has to be done with zero error in the election. He was holding a review meeting with all the District Election Officers through online medium from the Election House today.
Kumar said that there has been transfer posting of many officials in the state, so provide the list of EROs and AEROs of any district who have not received election related training immediately so that they can be trained on time. He said that as per the instructions of the Commission; ensure training of Presiding Officer, Polling Officer and ALMT in all the districts.
The CEO said that as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, in the upcoming assembly elections, an additional polling officer is to be appointed at polling stations with more than 1200 voters. Ensure strict compliance of the guidelines of the Election Commission of India in preparing the list related to vulnerable mapping and deployment of security forces.
He said that the election officers of all the districts should check the availability of the minimum facilities at the polling stations of their districts at their own level. In the meeting, Kumar also reviewed point-wise election related issues like facilities available to Divyang voters, postal ballot, adding new voters etc.
On this occasion, Joint Chief Election Officer Subodh Kumar, OSD Geeta Chaubey, Assistant Chief Election Officer Dev Das Dutta, Junior Chief Election Officer Sunil Kumar along with District Election Officers and Deputy Election Officers of all the districts were present through online medium.
