Bokaro MLA Shweta Singh has announced the installation of CCTV cameras at 150 key locations to enhance security in urban, rural, and displaced areas of the Bokaro assembly constituency. This decision followed discussions with district police officials to curb criminal activities and improve public safety.
Key locations like NH-23, Jainamore, Balidih, Bari Cooperative, ADM Gate, and other crowded areas will be covered in the first phase. Rural areas, including Telmacho Bridge, Telgaria Mode, and Chas Municipal Corporation wards, will follow.
Residents have been urged to suggest locations where cameras are needed. Footage from these cameras will aid in investigations and monitoring suspicious activities.
MLA Shweta Singh stated, “CCTV cameras are essential to curb theft, harassment, and assault. This initiative will ensure public safety and keep a close watch on anti-social elements.”
