Addressing party conclaves in Mhow and Indore on Sunday, Bharatiya Janata Party state unit chief and Khajuraho MP, Vishnudutt Sharma, exhorted party workers to bring an end to the politics of appeasement.
In his address at the party meetings, held as part of the 'Sangathan Parv' organised by the party state unit, Sharma highlighted achievements of the Narendra Modi government at the center and lambasted the Congress for its policies. People have faith in Narendra Modi who works tirelessly to run in an era of prosperity for the country and its people," said Sharma. Launching a frontal attack on the Opposition party, he minced no words in criticising the Congress and blamed it for 'engaging in politics of deception, falsehood and appeasement.'Listing out objectives of the 'Sangathan Parv,' Sharma said that the series of events under the Parv are meant to strengthen the party in areas where it has remained weak.
"This is not the time for responding to the politics of appeasement, we must all strive to bring it to an end,' he urged while exhorting party workers to devote themselves to membership drive and ensure that Indore division tops the list for inducting new party members.
Describing the ongoing Sangathan Parv as the cornerstone of the party structure for years to come, he motivated partymen and women to focus on booths where the party is weak. Speaking on the program in Indore, organising general secretary of the party state unit, Hitanand Sharma said that workers must strive to earn a top of the table position for the Indore region just as they had during the cleanliness drive.
Motivating party members to rise to the occasion, Sharma extolled on the virtues of being associated with the party."Being associated with the BJP contributes to personal development of people," said Sharma.
He stressed the need for party workers to heed the call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and ensure that young people emulate the example being set elsewhere in the country and join the party in large numbers. Expressing pride at being a member of the world's largest political party, Sharma told the gathering of his unflinching faith in party workers of the region.
He said he had no doubts that partymen and women in Mhow will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the party goals were met and a true tribute was paid to Pandit Deendayal on his birth anniversary on September 25. Launching an attack on the Congress, Sharma urged the opposition party to stop indulging in lip-service and appeasement politics.
"The political party that ruled the country for decades could not establish a law against triple talaq for Muslim women," he said. He reiterated that it was Modi who transformed the lives of Muslim women by freeing them from the clutches of patriarchy and ensured the abolition of Article 370 from the erstwhile northern state of Jammu and Kashmir.
He credited these actions by the PM for ensuring that a large number of youth joined the party. On Farmer Membership Day, the state BJP chief welcomed a large number of farmers from Dhar and Mhow into the party fold.
He highlighted farmer welfare initiatives of the Modi government and said that over 80 lakh farmers in the state receive Rs 6,000 annually through the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi.
