Hry Cabinet Meeting on July 12

Chandigarh: Haryana Cabinet meeting will be held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini at the Haryana Secretariat in Chandigarh on July 12, a Government spokesperson said on Thursday.

 Vi to enhance network capabilities in Punjab and Haryana

Chandigarh: Vi (Vodafone Idea) on Thursday said it is committed to delivering superior network connectivity and experiences in Punjab and Haryana and will prioritize these circles in its ongoing network enhancement initiatives after successfully raising Rs 18,000 crore in an FPO. In a press event in the city, the company shared that it will first focus on adding L 900 and L 2100 spectrum, aimed at enhancing indoor network experiences for telecom users across the state. This deployment of spectrum will improve coverage and connectivity in urban areas with dense building infrastructure, as well as in suburban and rural areas where signal penetration can be difficult. It will enhance voice call quality, support better messaging and improve data browsing (internet) experience indoors. Vi’s network currently covers 97.7% of population in the two states. To further expand and enhance its network capabilities, it will soon start expanding L900 spectrum covering towns like Ludhiana, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Patiala, Ambala, Panipat, Yamunanagar, Sonipat, Karnal and Kurukshetra in Punjab and Haryana.

Hry Police secures top position in CCTNS ranking for June 2024

Chandigarh: Haryana Police has once again excelled in the monthly ranking by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. According to the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) ranking for June 2024, Haryana Police has secured the top position, an official spokesperson said on Thursday. He said that over the past two and a half years, Haryana Police has held the first position for 20 months. Haryana Police achieved the highest score, surpassing Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. The CCTNS system enables the police to manage tasks such as FIR registration, non-cognizable reports, medico-legal cases, missing persons, lost property, missing livestock, foreign registration, C-forms, abandoned property, unidentified persons, preventive actions, supervision reports, unnatural death registrations, investigation work, complaint registrations, and database services, he added.

Two buses flagged off for persons with intellectual disabilities

Chandigarh: Ajay Chagti, Secretary, Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh UT, flagged off two buses, a 52-seater and a 32-seater, on the premises of Government Rehabilitation Institute for Intellectual Disabilities (GRIID), Sector 31-C, Chandigarh today to facilitate the movement of persons with intellectual disabilities. Dr A K Attri, Director-Principal of Govt. Medical College and Hospital cum Director GRIID; Dr Priti Arun, Joint Director GRIID and other GRIID officials were also present on the occasion.

Swachh Safai Apnao, Bimari Bhagao campaign launched in Hry

Chandigarh: Haryana Minister of State for Urban Local Bodies Subhash Sudha on Thursday said that urban local bodies are fully prepared to deal with monsoon challenges. For which the Swachh Safai Apnao, Bimari Bhagao (SABB) campaign has been formally launched in the state. He said that this initiative will be active from July 1 to August 31, 2024, aiming to mitigate health risks associated with heavy rainfall. It focuses on maintaining high levels of cleanliness, effective waste management, regular cleaning of all community and public toilets, ensuring safe drinking water, water quality assessment, maintaining water facilities, implementing an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) plan, conducting door-to-door awareness campaigns, and promoting cleanliness in urban local bodies (ULBs).

Expedite completion of all pending works at Hisar Airport: Hry Minister

Chandigarh: Haryana Civil Aviation Minister Kamal Gupta on Thursday instructed all departments to expedite licensing procedures for Hisar Airport to enable the commencement of flights in the days to come. Gupta was chairing a review meeting with officials from the Civil Aviation Department, Public Works (Buildings and Roads), Environment, Forest, and Wildlife Department, Home, Fire Services, and HSIIDC regarding the commencement of flights from Hisar Airport here in Chandigarh.

Hry Govt launches Voluntary Disclosure Scheme-2024 for declaration of unauthorized load of tubewell connection for agricultural consumers

Chandigarh: Haryana Government has launched the Voluntary Load Disclosure Scheme-2024 for agricultural tubewell connections for agricultural consumers in the state. Under this scheme, consumers will require to deposit Rs 100 per kilowatt to increase their load. Additionally, the usual service connection fee of Rs 1500 per BHP will be waived, and their load will be regularized without any penalty. This scheme will be in effect from July 1, 2024, to July 15, 2024.

444 Women to be honored with "Best Mother" Award in Hry

Chandigarh: Haryana Minister of State for Women and Child Development Aseem Goel on Thursday said that the state government is committed to ensuring the health and comprehensive development of women and children in the state. The government is paying special attention to their nutrition to achieve this objective. On July 15, at a state-level ceremony in Ambala, 444 mothers who have made outstanding contributions in taking care of their newborns and themselves will be honored with the "Best Mother" Award, said the Minister after presiding over a review meeting of the Women and Child Development Department in Chandigarh.

Centre of Excellence for Fruits and Vegetables to be Established in Panchkula: Hry Minister

 Chandigarh: Haryana Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar on Thursday announced that a Centre of Excellence for the management of fruits and vegetables will be established in Panchkula with the cooperation of England (UK) at a cost of Rs. 115 crore. A MoU has been inked in this regard. This centre is expected to be completed by the year 2026.

Haryana Government notifies timelines for 9 services of Housing Board

Chandigarh: The Haryana Government has notified the timelines for 9 services of Housing Board under the Haryana Right to Service Act, 2014, within which these are to be provided to the citizens. These services include demarcation of plot, issue of duplicate allotment/copy of any document, conveyance deed (with and without General Power of Attorney), no dues certificate, permission of transfer in case of sale, transfer of property in case of death (uncontested), permission for mortgage, change of ownership/ re-allotment letter after execution of sale deed, and transfer of property before conveyance deed, said the government official spokesperson.
