Hry CM announces Rs. 15.42 crore to people of Yamunanagar

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday announced projects of Rs. 15.42 crores to the residents of Yamunanagar through virtual mode. State School Education Minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar laid the foundation stone of two projects and inaugurated two projects in the auditorium of the District Secretariat. He said that the Chief Minister has laid the foundation stone of development works worth Rs. 5.34 crore and inaugurated development works worth about Rs. 10.08 crore in the district.

CM Khattar to inaugurate Electric City Bus Service in Panipat on Jan 29

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will inaugurate the City Bus Service featuring electric buses from Siwah, Panipat on January 29. This initiative aims to not only benefit residents in nine cities but also contribute to environmental sustainability by ensuring zero pollution. Transport Minister Mool Chand Sharma said that Haryana City Bus Service Limited, a Government Corporation formed under the Transport Department to provide local city bus services in nine cities across Haryana including Panipat, Yamunanagar, Panchkula, Ambala, Karnal, Sonepat, Rewari, Rohtak, and Hisar. This marks a unique and pioneering project of any state in the country, he added.

State-level Voter's Day to be celebrated in Kurukshetra on January 25

Chandigarh: In Haryana, efforts are being made to encourage the registration of new youth and women as voters. As a result of special revision to the voter list during this initiative, a total of 5,25,615 persons have been registered as new voters. Among them, 1,41,290 youth voters aged 18-19 have been registered, marking a record. These voters will be honoured on National Voters' Day on January 25 by the Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal. Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Anurag Agarwal stated that a state-level Voter's Day will be celebrated in Kurukshetra on January 25. He stated that all voters aged 18-19 and all female voters who applied for voter registration from October 1, 2023, to December 9, 2023, have been selected through a draw.

MC honours Chandigarhian girls for their exceptional contribution towards Swachhata on National Girl Child Day

Hry Anti -Corruption Bureau arrests 186 government servants in 2023

Chandigarh: Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau has conducted 152 raids in the year 2023 & recovered Rs. 86,12,300 on the spot and arrested 186 government servants, including 30 gazetted officers, 156 non-gazetted officials and 40 private individuals, during the year 2023. Sharing the information, the official of Anti Corruption Bureau said that out of the 205 cases, 152 were registered on raid/trap and 53 cases were registered on complaints/enquiries. On average, 16 public servants were arrested on corruption charges every month, he added.
