Under the direction of the Superintendent of Police Bokaro Pujya Prakash and the leadership of Ashish Kumar Mehli, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Traffic, a special drive was conducted by the officers and staff of the traffic police station. The campaign aimed to raise public awareness about road safety and was carried out across long-distance buses, heavy vehicles, four-wheelers, three-wheelers, and two-wheelers.
During the drive, a breath analyzer was used to conduct checks for drunk driving. Violations such as wrong-side driving, driving without a license, riding without a helmet, not wearing seat belts, and other document-related infractions were also examined. Vehicles found violating the Motor Vehicles Act were fined, resulting in a total collection of ₹3,01,650.
Notably Bokaro Police efforts are commendable, and such initiatives are essential in promoting a culture of responsible driving, ultimately contributing to safer roads for everyone.
