An illegal mini liquor factory was uncovered during a late-night raid in the Nandusthan area, under the Chira Chas Police Station limits, on Tuesday. Acting on a tip-off, the district excise team, under the directive of Bokaro Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav and the guidance of Assistant Excise Commissioner, carried out the operation, resulting in the seizure of a significant quantity of materials used to produce and package fake liquor.
The raid led to the confiscation of 1,500 liters of spirit, 735 liters of foreign liquor, 1,500 empty bottles, 220 PET bottles, branded caps and stickers, a punching machine, caramel, and other equipment used in the illegal liquor manufacturing process.
Notably on Wednesday morning, Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav personally inspected the site, accompanied by Additional Collector Mohammed Mumtaz Ansari and District Transport Officer Vandana Shejwalkar. During her visit, she reviewed the seized materials and discussed the case details with Assistant Excise Commissioner Uma Shankar Singh.
She issued strict directives to continue the crackdown on illegal liquor production, sales, and transportation in the district. The Deputy Commissioner also urged the public to report any illegal liquor activities, assuring that the identity of informants would remain confidential, and swift action would be taken.
