State BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo today termed the JMM/Congress alliance government in State as being anti-backward. Shahdeo said that the arrogant coalition government, which sheds crocodile tears for backward classes, should remember its misdeeds. Pratul said that the central government is dedicated to the rights of the backward classes. There is doubt over the intentions of the state's coalition government. The post of Chairman of OBC Commission remained vacant for 14 months. In August 2023, the Cabinet said that the triple test will be conducted by the OBC Commission. But the post of Chairman of the Commission was also kept vacant for 8 months.
Pratul said that in the Panchayat elections, the state government had filed an affidavit saying that it would conduct the elections under OBC reservation in the municipal elections. But the state government tried to conduct the elections through the backdoor without OBC reservation. This stopped after a strong rebuke and contempt notice from the Supreme Court.
Pratul said that Congress should explain why the caste column was removed from the census when Nehru ji was the Prime Minister of the Constituent Assembly in 1951?
Pratul said that the observation of the present situation is that this government is anti-ST, SC and OBC. There are zero Dalit ministers in the state government and only two OBC ministers. Whereas in the Modi government there are 27 OBC ministers, 12 SC ministers and 8 ST ministers.
Pratul said that the Mandal Commission report was suppressed by the Congress government for 10 years. In 1990, Rajiv Gandhi, in his capacity as the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, had opposed the Mandal Commission report point by point.
Pratul said that since independence, ST, SC, OBC reservation has been ignored in Jammu and Kashmir due to Article 370. The Modi government has given the benefit of reservation to everyone by removing Section 370. Pratul said that the Modi government was the first to reserve seats for the OBC category in Sainik School and Medical seats. He said that the Modi government gave constitutional status to the Backward Commission.
Pratul said that it is not a coalition government of Jharkhand, it is a film theatre. New movies are being released every day. Scenes from the movie "Bhagam Bhaag" are being seen in the state. Pratul said that the Chief Minister kept running for 40 hours. The MLAs ran to Hyderabad. Now again the Congress MLAs are running around in Delhi.
Pratul said that just like 'Mr. India', the Jharkhand government remained invisible on the issues of public welfare and poor welfare for 4 years, the Chief Minister remained invisible and absconded for 40 hours. So the same Congress MLA is also invisible for 48 hours.
