The 43rd All India Steel Medical Officers' Conference (AISMOC) was held at Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH) in the heart of Tata Nagar. In this significant conference, the Bokaro General Hospital (BGH) team showcased their expertise and knowledge, signaling prosperity. The BGH team excelled in 8 out of 10 categories of competitions held during the conference, resulting in them being honored with prestigious awards. Additionally, the name of Bokaro Steel shines brightly. Under the leadership of Chief Medical Officer Dr. B.B. Karunamay and Additional Chief Medical Officer Dr. R.K. Gautam, the academic committee of the conference praised the high quality of BGH doctors, making the conference lively with their performances.
It is noteworthy that participants from Bokaro General Hospital also introduced their excellence. Dr. Aninda Mandal was awarded Best Male Speaker, Dr. Ravindra Kumar emphasized the importance of safety shoes for steel plant workers, Dr. Beirendra Kumar presented on treatment of congenital clubfoot in children, and in the poster presentation and quiz, Dr. Saket Mishra and Dr. Ramanuj Sharma were awarded for their excellent knowledge and expertise in the treatment of adrenal hypoplasia. Dr. Farhat Mazhari showcased the best cesarean section technique, Dr. Krishna Pratap and Dr. Jaya Lakshmi presented on breast cancer, Dr. R.K. Hembram focused on stress management, and Dr. Amit Kumar Sahu presented on sepsis management, receiving accolades for their presentations.
Notably the BGH team met with newly selected DIC Bokaro B.K. Tiwari and informed him about their achievements upon their return to Bokaro. Tiwari congratulated the BGH doctors for their remarkable performance at the medical officer conference and encouraged them.
