Addressing the program, LADC advocate Rajesh Kumar Sinha gave information about the crimes related to trading of opium, ganja, heroin, brown sugar and cultivation of opium under the Drugs and Psychotropic Substances-1985 and told the students about the Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940. Apart from this, focus was laid on NDPS, NCB and Article 47 of the Constitution.

Mediator P.N. Singh said that drug addiction is a curse for all of us, which is common in our society. Due to lack of good education, people become victims of drug addiction and other physical consequences at an early age and remain addicted to drugs throughout their life. De-addiction means freeing a person or society from addiction, that is, it is an attempt to prevent drug addiction or remove its addiction.

Atul Gera of Life Savers NGO also shed light on drug elimination, he explained in detail about the effects of drug addiction. He said that a person remains healthy by not taking drugs. Drug addiction destroys the quality of the body. It affects the entire family. Drug addiction causes financial, mental and physical damage to the family, which can never be compensated. He further said that a drug addict spends all his money on drug addiction, which affects his family and the family gets destroyed. A drug addict roams around like a mad person, due to which his dignity also gets destroyed.

It should also be known that the students were also informed about the special Lok Adalat related to motor vehicle accidents to be held on 8th June and the National Lok Adalat to be held on 13th July and leaflets and pamphlets related to drug addiction were also distributed among them.
