Assistant Professor of the Department of Trauma and Emergency Medicine, Dr. Babu Lal, showcased his expertise and innovations at the 48th National Conference of the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of India (AOMSI) held in Kolkata. He highlighted the challenges in managing conditions like ameloblastoma and odontogenic keratocyst (OKC), emphasizing the need for molecular-level research to develop new drugs that could potentially save patients from undergoing complex surgeries.
Additionally, he shared his experiences on "Post-Traumatic Rhinoplasty," where he presented cost-effective techniques developed at AIIMS Bhopal for managing nasal bone injuries. Dr. Babu Lal discussed affordable splints made using urinary catheters and surgical strips, which have proven highly effective in resource-limited settings.
