AJSU party to contest Assembly poll under NDA folder

Tuesday, 18 June 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

AJSU Party Supremo Sudesh Mahto said in a press conference held at the party's central office on Monday that people have different moods in Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. He said that his party will contest the upcoming Assembly elections under the NDA folder.

"The vision of Panchayat, Assembly and Lok Sabha is different. The opposition spread the lie of changing the Constitution and ending reservation after the NDA's victory. Whereas its big leader said on this very soil of Jharkhand that as long as he is alive, no one can change the Constitution," said Mahto.

The AJSU Party Leader said that this is the farewell year of this government. Its commitments and claims have proved to be hollow. "The Government is again making fun before leaving. It has been only doing politics on employment policy and displacement. There was talk of bringing a proposal for reservation for OBCs. Now the commission related to this has sent a proposal of 27 per cent reservation to the State Government. All this is happening without any data. We stood with the Government on reservation, Sarna Dharma Code and other issues, but the Government kept misleading us. The more the population, the more should be. In this Government, not even a single SC is available for a Minister," he added.

Mahto said that Aabhar Yatra will be launched by the party in different areas from June 18 to June 20 for the result of Giridih Lok Sabha. “June 22 is a historic day for the party. The student union has done the most hard work and sacrifice in the Jharkhand movement. The party came out in the form of a student union on this day. The objectives and struggles of the formation of the state, which could not be written down, will be shown to the youth through video assembly wise. From June 26 to the end of July, the oath taking ceremony of the party's assembly wise Gram Prabhakars and District Prabhakars will take place,” he added.

The party Chief also said that Hul Diwas will be celebrated in all the assemblies on June 20. “Nirmal Mahato Shahadat Diwas will be celebrated on August 8 and August Kranti Diwas and Adivasi Diwas will be celebrated on August 9. Padyatra will be held in all the assemblies from August 16 to October 2. During this period, at least 500 saplings will be planted in every assembly,” he added.
