A dedicated team from the Department of Pharmacology at AIIMS Bhopal conducted a significant outreach activity at PHC Chiklod, Block Obedullhaganj, District Raisen, on Tuesday, 17th September 2024. This event was organized as part of the 4th National Pharmacovigilance Week celebrations, running from 17th to 23rd September 2024.
The primary goal of the event was to raise awareness about Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) among the local community. AIIMS Bhopal, serving as a regional training centre for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, and an Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Centre under the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India, collaborates with both the Department of Pharmacology and the Department of Community and Family Medicine to achieve these objectives.
During the event, Deepa Choudhary and Faizan, Associate, provided guidance on reporting any adverse drug reactions via the toll-free number 1800-180-3024 or through the PVPI mobile app. Dr. Srijan G. Shetty and Dr. Shobhit, residents from the Department of Pharmacology, emphasized the critical need for reporting ADRs to ensure patient safety and improve drug management practices.
