AAP to launch next phase of jail ka jawab vote se

Thursday, 09 May 2024 | Staff Reporter | New Delhi

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will launch the next phase of its “Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se” Lok Sabha poll campaign on May 13 with multiple events, such as “Mahila Samvad” and “Trade Town Hall’’, in the four Delhi constituencies from where it has fielded its candidates. The AAP has come up with an idea to woo rural, women and poorvanchalis voters for the upcoming LOk Sabha polls here.

Addressing a press conference here, senior AAP leader and Delhi Minister Gopal Rai, who is also the AAP’s Delhi state convenor, said during the campaign running from May 13th to 23rd, four different sections of the society will be targeted. The campaign will start with holding Trade Town Hall in East Delhi, Gramin Panchayat in West Delhi, Mahila Samvad in New Delhi and Purvanchal Samagam in South Delhi. This campaign of ours will be held at different places in all the Lok Sabha constituencies, in which we will tell the public what work the Kejriwal government has done for Delhi’s all-round development in the last 9 years. At the same time, our already running election campaigns, ‘Door-to-door’, ‘Jail Ka Jawab, Vote Se’ Sankalp Sabha and Smt. Sunita Kejriwal’s road show will continue.

“These are four key segments that have a huge bearing on the election. We will start these four events from these areas and then take those to the other constituencies. For instance, Mahila Samvad will also happen in East Delhi. It is just that we are starting it from the New Delhi seat,” Rai said.

The AAP leader said as the third phase of elections concluded in India on Tuesday and voting has taken place on more than half the total Lok Sabha seats in these phases. “The news coming from all over the country shows that the country does not accept the BJP’s slogan of ‘400 Paar.’ People are gathering to stand against the plan of the BJP to change the Constitution after winning 400 plus seats,” he said

Under a seat-sharing arrangement between the Congress and the AAP, the former has fielded candidates from three Lok Sabha seats in Delhi while the latter is contesting from the remaining four.

Delhi will go to polls in the sixth phase of the seven-phase election on May 25 and the counting of votes will be taken up on June 4.
