The Odisha Nataka Samaroha Samiti, Brahmapur, is going to organise the 16th State-Level Drama Festival at the Biju Pattnaik Sanskruti Bhavan, Hillpatna from January 20 to 25. The fest is jointly sponsored by the Union Ministry of Culture and State Department of Culture.
Festival Advisory Committee (Aam Paribar) president Anil Kumar Patra informed that on January 20 evening, Nataka “Bancha” written by Ajaya Kumar Mahapatra and directed by Jaminikanta Mishra will be staged by Serious Zone of Nayagarah followed by “Suna Sujane” of Biswajeet Das and directed by Debabrata Pattnaik will be staged by Dynamic Platform, Bhubaneswar on January 21. “Mahayatra” written by Saroj Kumar Tapan and directed by Manas Ranjan Mishra will be presented by the artists of “Swara”, Sambalpur on January 22. Similarly, the artists of Jagarana Art International of Debagarh will perform “Luhara Ranga” written by Ashoak Kumar Bahidar and directed by Sujit Kumar Patra on January 23, followed by “Mu Nirvaya Kahuchi” written and directed by Sribachha Mohanty which will be staged by the artists of Indra Dhanu Theare, Khurda on January 24, while “Kabya Purusha” written by Sankar Tripathy and directed by Lakshmidhara Puja Panda will be performed by the artists of Shreekeshtra Natyasala, Puri on January 25.
