A 52-year-old labour died after a wall collapsed while he was drilling in the wall of a house located in Arif Nagar, Bhopal, the  accident occured while doing renovation work in the house.

Police said that a man was rushed to hospital where he was declared dead, the deceased was identified as Vijay Singh.

SI Bhagwati Prasad Sharma said that 52-year-old Jai Vijay Singh was a resident of Biloni village of Narsinghpur, he lived with his family in Bilkhiriya area and worked as a labourer. Recently renovation work was being done in house number 12 of street number of Arif Nagar.

On Sunday evening, he was drilling a hole in the wall located in a room of the house, due to which the wall collapsed. Fellow laborers pulled him out of the debris and took him to the hospital. Where the doctors checked and declared him dead. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.

Meanwhile Aishbagh police arrested three absconding criminals required in an attempted murder case, accused of attacking a victim on February 22 the accused went absconding.

Police said that on February 21, the complainant Shafiq Khan of Sonia Colony was attacked at around 9.15 in the night, Nasir, Aamir and Naved after he intervened to save his brother Mansoor.

In the night three accused came and called Shafiq and as soon as he came out Nasir said that it is Mansoor's brother who has married his sister after eloping and all three of them started abusing and when he asked to stop abusing they attacked with a sharp edged weapon.

Shafiq's wife Saba and locals rushed to his rescue and before leaving, the accused threatened to kill him. 

The victim was rushed to hospital and based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 294,323,324,308,506,34 of the IPC.
