Under the leadership of 25-member guiding board headed by senior journalist Balbir Dutt was fromed for Ranchi Press Club in a meeting of the Managing Committee of Ranchi Press Club here on Saturday. In the meeting, Bylaws Review Committee was formed under the chairmanship of President Surendra Lal Soren, Sports Committee under the chairmanship of senior sports journalist Chanchal Bhattacharya, Women's Welfare Committee under the chairmanship of Karbi Dutta and Health Committee under the chairmanship of Saurabh Shukla.
A high level committee was formed to review the bylaws of Ranchi Press Club. The review committee headed by Surendra Lal Soren included Harinarayan Singh, Dilip Srivastava Neelu, Diwakar Prasad, Brajesh Rai, Shambhunath Chaudhary, Rekha Pathak., and Amarkant.
The guiding board of Ranchi Press Club includes Harinarayan Singh, Baijnath Mishra, Ashutosh Chaturvedi, Sanjay Singh, Vijay Pathak, Dilip Srivastava Neelu, Chandan Mishra, Shashishekhar, Rakesh Parihar, Prakash Sahay, Rajat Gupta, Om Ranjan Malviya, Sonali Das, Vinay Verma, Shafiq Ansari, Arup Chatterjee, Ghulam Shahid, Avinash Thakur, Sunil Badal, Girja Shankar Ojha, Brajesh Rai, Diwakar Prasad, Kuldeep Singh Deepak, Vidyabhushan and Anupam Sheshank.
It was decided to organize a mega health camp every month in the club, in which senior doctors of the capital will examine the club members and their families for free, and most of the medicines will be made available free of cost. Apart from Saurabh Shukla, Kumar is included in the medical committee of the club. Gaurav, Aman Kumar Mishra, Satyavrat Kiran, Anuj Tiwari and Priyanka Mishra will be the members. The committee will organize health camps in the club every month. Also, it will provide all possible help to the club members and their families admitted in private and government hospitals of the city.
Apart from Chanchal Bhattacharya, the sports committee of the club will have RJ Arvind, Monu Kumar, Ajay Kukreti, PC Jha, Sanjeev Ranjan, Praveen Mishra, Asif Naeem, Sanjay Jha and Sunil Kumar as members. It was decided that starting from the last week of January Media Cup cricket tournament will be conducted between the first week of February.
In the Women's Welfare Committee formed for the welfare of the women members of the club, apart from Karbi Dutta, Sharmistha Mazumdar will be the convener, while Ashiya Nazli, Pratima Singh, Sushma Sinha, Neelu Mishra and Sheela Kumari will be the members. This committee will meet every month and look after the welfare of the women members. It will prepare a plan, which will be placed before the Managing Committee.
Those members of the Press Club whose membership card has been lost or damaged can get their new card by submitting a receipt of Rs 50 to Club Manager Jaimini Sarkar.
