A total of 155 para legal volunteers is to be selected for Palamu district legal services authority. Last date for filing the application for it is September 13.
Secretary DLSA Arpit Shrivastava told this correspondent "State legal services authority has directed to select 155 para legal volunteers."
An applicant must not be any member of any political party and again must not have any criminal case against him.
Retired people like teachers, doctors, etc can apply. There is no cap for the upper age while the base age is 18 years. An applicant must be 18 on January 1,2024.
Secretary Arpit Shrivastava made it clear that selection of the para legal volunteers is no employment at all.
It's activity based for which a selected candidate on becoming para legal volunteer will have 700 rupees for performing activity or activities per day.
Women are to be preferred but representations from SC, ST, minority
and other backward classes are to be ensured.
There is no bank draft or fee at all for applying for it. An applicant is to fill a form having 12 columns. Two passport size photos are a must with the application.
Secretary Arpit Shrivastava said there is a move to attach 1 para legal volunteer to every police station.
Palamu's 5 police stations have right now 1 para legal volunteer.
It's all for the purpose of connectivity with the masses in general, court sources said.
