In the absence of promotion in government schools in the state, the vacant posts have been filled by the department by taking action of higher post charge. From April-2024 till now, about 15 thousand teachers of the department have been given higher post charge. The School Education Department has maintained transparency in the process of giving higher post charge.
In the higher post charge, the department gave the opportunity to the teachers to voluntarily select the school through online counselling and after this the school selected by the teachers was allotted in merit (seniority) order. Along with this, online counselling was done for the teachers working in government schools having surplus teachers in the interest of the students. For this, 12 thousand 900 government teachers gave consent. On the basis of the consent received from them, posting was made in the government schools selected by them.
The department has completed the document verification process of 3198 teachers through the recruitment process based on the results of the selection test of higher secondary teachers. After verification, appointment orders are being issued to eligible teachers.
Guest teachers were arranged for the vacant posts of teachers in the state. All the proceedings related to their application and joining were made through online process. In such government schools, where guest teachers were working last year and there was a vacant post in that school in this academic session as well, then such guest teachers were given the facility to join under the online joining system on the portal itself. In this academic session, the department started the process of online choice filling for the convenience of guest teachers, so that guest teachers can get suitable schools on the basis of merit. Such applicants, who have passed the eligibility test, were given 30 marks and guest teachers already working were given a maximum of 50 marks at the rate of 10 marks per year on the basis of their experience. The department prepared their score card through this method. The process of school allocation is being done on the basis of merit of the score-card.
The School Education Department has made the guest teacher invitation system completely online. As per the instructions of the High Court, the panels of guest teachers prepared at the school level in the previous years have been registered online on the GFMS portal.
