In a late-night reshuffle on Sunday, the Uttar Pradesh government made significant changes to its police force by transferring 15 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. The reshuffle aims to bolster the state’s law enforcement and governance.
The appointments span various districts and units, reflecting a strategic approach to enhance policing across the state.
Dr Ajay Pal Sharma has been appointed as the in-charge Additional Police Commissioner for the Prayagraj Commissionerate.
Dr Kaustubh will now serve as the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Jaunpur, while Keshav Kumar takes charge in Ambedkar Nagar.
Aparna Rajat Kaushik assumes her new role as SP in Amethi in place of Ankita Sharma, who has been transferred to Kasganj as SP, replacing Anup Kumar Singh, who is now Commandant of the 35th
Battalion of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) in Lucknow.
Vikrant Veer has been posted as SP of Deoria, while Dr Omveer Singh takes over as SP of Ballia.
Ramnayan Singh becomes SP of Bahraich, with Chiranjeev Nath Sinha taking on the same role in Hathras.
Prachi Singh will lead the 32nd Battalion of PAC in Lucknow, while Dr Abhishek Mahajan is now SP in Siddharthnagar, and Sankalp Sharma will now serve as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in the Lucknow Commissionerate.
SP of Bahraich Vrinda Shukla was posted as SP for the UP 1090 Women’s Helpline. Nipun Agarwal will now join as DCP in the Lucknow Police Commissionerate.
