District 20-point Vice President cum All India Congress Committee member Brajendra Prasad Singh has told the Deputy Commissioner of Dhanbad that such complaints are being received in Dhanbad district as well as in the whole of Jharkhand that in many hospitals, Ayushman card holders are asked for money after getting admitted to the hospital and there have also been reports of mistreatment of patients.
He has said that the government should take strict action on this because the hospitals are also paid money by the government. In such a situation, the operators of private hospitals should ensure that Ayushman card holders or senior citizens above 70 years of age are treated properly in every hospital and no kind of reluctance should be shown by the operators. Mr. Singh has requested Dhanbad Deputy Commissioner Madhavi Mishra to identify such hospitals and take action against them and remove them from that purview.
