State BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdev today countered the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha's press conference and said that spying was being done on former Chief Minister Champai Soren at the behest of the state government. Pratul said that it seems that the leaders of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha have now started defending the government by making up stories.

“What kind of a coincidence is this that these two Special Branch officers travel in the same plane as Champai Soren. These two officers stay in the same city, in the same hotel, in the next room on the same floor where Champai Soren also stays. After that, these Intelligence Department officers were secretly clicking pictures of the people who came to meet Champai Soren. The biggest question is that when two Intelligence Department officers were deputed for Champai Soren's security, why this information was not given to Champai Soren?” he asked.

“Apparently, now the government is running a big cover-up operation and trying to cover up the matter. A complaint is also filed in Delhi's Chanakyapuri police station regarding this matter. Then news comes that the detained officers were released after signing a bond,” he said.

Pratul said it is clear that Hemant Soren, being disturbed, crossed all political limits and was spying on Champai Soren ji, the former Chief Minister who is of the same age as his father.

Pratul said that now Jharkhand Police is issuing a press release in defence. When two AK-47s of Chief Minister Hemant Soren's house guard were recovered during ED raid at the house of power broker Prem Prakash, they had said a very unbelievable and ridiculous thing about keeping the AK-47s by giving the excuse of rain. Today, after being caught in the spying case, they are making an excuse of security. This is their old habit.

Pratul said that BJP has already demanded that a sitting judge of the High Court should investigate this entire matter and it should also be investigated that whose political opponents' phones are being tapped illegally by this government and whose phones have been put on surveillance?

Pratul said that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is afraid of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma's tours. That is why it keeps making indecent allegations.
